Indie filmmaker Dave Dugdale of Learning Video has recently made a video comparison that puts both cameras (Lumix GH5 and Sony a6500) side by side to see if there is a significant difference between the two in that particular regard.
When it comes to mid-tier mirrorless cameras, these two cameras have been doing quite well for some time now. And the good thing is that both are priced relatively lower in comparison with other mirrorless cameras.
Both, the Lumix GH5 and Sony a6500 offer decent 4K video recording, and have several other useful video features in a compact and lightweight package.
To compare the two mirrorless cameras, the filmmaker shot in different lighting scenarios (sunset, bright sunny day, etc.) trying to look for major differences. Going by the results, it seems there’s not much difference between the two rivals.
Here are a few pictures, shot in various conditions.

- Sony Alpha a6500 Mirrorless Digital Camera (B&H, Amazon)
