Video Tuner – Microsoft’s Video Editing App for Windows Phone
Dubbed “Video Tuner,” the app runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and is an upgrade of sorts for Microsoft’s Movie Moments app for Windows Phone 8.1, PC World reported.
It quoted Matt Collins, global director of applications and partner marketing for Microsoft, as saying “Video Tuner” can let a user shorten, crop, flip, or rotate video clips.
“The Video Tuner application is designed to make video editing easy and powerful, to let users quickly and easily edit a video they’ve captured,” Collins added.
The app also allows filters and even layer audio tracks, with the final cut saved to a small, medium, or large file size.
PC World added the final work can be shared to social networks or saved to Microsoft’s OneDrive.
However, Collins said Microsoft does not plan to offer the app on the Windows Phone 8.0 platform, at least for now.
Also, “Video Tuner” may not allow cutting together two different video files.
PC World noted the app may not be as flexible as Pinnacle Studio or Apple’s iMovie for iOS.
